Mesothelioma

Mesothelioma occurs when asbestos fibers cause irritation to the tissue that surrounds many of your organs. The cancerous cells begin to grow.

The most prevalent mesothelioma type affects the lung lining (pleura). Less-common forms affect the abdomen's lining and the surrounding lining of the testicles.
