3 Wheeled Buggies

A 3-wheel buggy is great for off-road jogging and dealing with terrain, from bumpy pavements to woodland tracks. They are also easier to maneuver up and down kerbs than 4-wheel models.

MadeForMums reviews editor Kath tried one of these 3 wheeler buggies-wheelers with her newborn and 3 year old, and put it through its paces on tarmac and on tricky ground. Check out her review here.

Stability

Four-wheel buggies with their center of gravity being balanced by the weight of your child in the seat are generally more stable than three-wheelers. But that doesn't mean that a three-wheel buggy isn't worth a look, since the majority of them are built to handle everything from rough terrain to busy high-streets.

For a buggy that's easy to control and will not be a problem on bumpy pavements, look for one with large rear wheels and an adjustable front wheel that locks.
