World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can boost the value of certain numeric stats on armor, weapons and rings. Upgrades also boost bonuses like Crit chance and damage from PvE.

For instance a weapon that has the upgrade template ending in % will gain 3% attack damage every time it upgrades (relative to its previous value).

The cost for upgrading items increases when they reach the current level of the item. The cost increases with item's level.

Components

Upgrade components are items that can be inserted into armor, weapons, and trinkets to give an extra stat boost or impact while they're being used. These can be obtained through crafting, purchasing from vendors, trading or looting. Some upgrades also have specific cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components are only available to equipment that has a slot. The item must be upgraded to a blue level before a component can be used. Unlike other mods, upgrade components can only be used one time; they cannot be applied multiple times or replaced with new upgrades. Infusions and enrichments are a special kind of upgrade component that is used to upgrade non-amulet ascended or legendary equipment and some of the non-ascended back items. Infusions and enrichments can be retrieved by salvaging gear from the ascended, or completing an elite mission in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.

A prefix or suffix may be added to an upgrade, which alters the name of the item it is used on (for instance, 'Canthan Armor Insignia',' changes to Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades boost the Mark Level or Rarity of an item, allowing players to create stronger versions of the item using less Upgrade crystals than they require to reach the same level with normal methods.

A 'boost upgrade' can modify the attack or defense attributes of a weapon or armor. After the player has completed the cutscene and defeated Crazed Mechanist the upgrades can be crafted at the Portative Forging Station. These upgrades can be obtained by purchasing them from the cash shop, or by getting them from enemies while upgrading other equipment.

Each upgrade increases the chance that a better-quality version of an item will be dropped during the next reset. This gives the player an incentive to keep improving their equipment even if they're not sure of how much it will increase after a future reset.

The boost upgrade may be successful or not, the process can be expensive, and there is a high possibility that the item will be obsolete or even break when it fails. A unsuccessful upgrade could ruin the Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder as well as the upgraded item. Cash shop items can be used to reduce or eliminate the possibility of failure. Some upgrades also offer an additional bonus when they are reinserted.

Glyphs

Glyphs are upgrade parts that can be placed in special sockets on the Paragon Board. Glyphs boost the power of nodes within a radius, including any existing affixes. Glyphs are upgraded in various ways, and we recommend getting them up to level 15 as soon as possible.

In the final game you'll find that the best way to enhance your gear is to place Glyphs. They are the only upgrade components that can be upgraded to level 15 and offer a significant boost to your power on the Paragon Board.

The majority of upgrades in the game can be replaced, however, Glyphs are only the one upgrade component that can be removed and re-placed without restriction. The only exception is legendary equipment that requires the use of a Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and replace.

The value of each Glyph is displayed when you select it in your inventory. You can replace it with a Glyph that is of the same or higher rank to boost the value of the Glyph.

You can find Glyphs in the Black Lion Trading Post, as part of a Gem Store purchase or bundle with certain gathering tools that are unlimited-use as well as through Faction Crypt raids. Each Faction Crypt has the chance of dropping one of the numerous Glyphs as well as some rare glyphs that can be found in the form of drops from any of the four Faction Crypts.

Once you have the desired Glyphs then you need to place them on your equipment. Each Glyph will grant a distinct bonus that will boost the stats of a particular set of nodes that are within a radius of the Glyph. Leveling

The system of upgrading items allows players to increase the stats of certain items by placing upgraded components inside them. This is commonly known as "upping". Every upgradeable item has an amount, which determines its final upgraded stats. Upgraded items can be upgraded until they reach a maximum level of ilvl 385. Each level requires a different amount of components to reach and the costs for upgrading increase as the item gets upgraded.

Some upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient can be obtained by completing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes are available in the upgrade tab of a crafting table, or bought from NPCs. Each Upgrade Recipe completed will result in a certain amount of Technology points. These points can be used to upgrading an item. Once enough points are earned you'll be eligible to claim the upgrade and also receive the bonuses.

When the player upgrades an item to a higher level, the original item is replaced with a new item of the same kind. This means that the same piece of armor will be transformed into a weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item upgrader mod will also have its own set bonus. This could be a drawback, as the item can be more expensive even if you don't require it.

Upgrades to items can be rerolled if the player has enough tokens to do this. The item will be replaced with a brand new one that is based on a level 1 base and completely different bonuses. This is a good idea however it should not be used frequently as it could waste resources.

Some upgrades can increase their value, allowing players to customize their gear. One example is Dolphin's Gift, which gives an increase in power when a player repeatedly enters and exits water (or swims like a dolphin). It is possible to upgrade it several times, each time increasing the max roll by 10 points. This item is extremely useful in PvP battles, since an item that is properly rolled it could be worth between 20 and 50x its value without being upgraded.

Requirements

The ability to upgrade items allows players to increase the level of their available equipment--armor, weapons, and trinkets above ilvl 385--by providing the appropriate items and currency to an NPC who upgrades items. Upgrading armor set pieces will also increase the base defense of the piece, whereas upgrading weapons will increase the base damage and required strength and dexterity to meet the upgraded equipment's requirements.

All items can be upgraded up to five times except for hero gear, which can be upgraded eight times. Each time you upgrade an object it is at risk of failing. The rate of failure increases as you go over the maximum number. Failures will result in the item reverting to its original state which means that the player has to spend additional resources than if they had stopped upgrading after the maximum number.

If an item fails to upgrade, the amount of accumulated experience in its growth bar is reset to zero. The item also loses any bonuses it earned, such as the chance to crit attack damage, additional effects (such as an increase in healing over time or the speed of reloading). The player is able to use their weapon or armor even after the failure.

Whenever an item is upgraded the upgrades are applied in order from the lowest to the highest. This means that, when a weapon gains an increase in crit chance, the increase is applied prior to any increase in attack damage. A new attribute called Slots is now added to the item upgrading's definition and the value is recomputed each time an upgrade is applied.

The amount of resources required to upgrade an item is determined on the rarity rating and number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading non-premium equipment is equivalent to the value of the base item. For example an item of common use could have five upgrades at a cost of. 25,600 Technology Points and a 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero grade items will have the lowest cost for each upgrade.

Premium items have different upgrade requirements in comparison to standard equipment. For instance, they might require fewer sowels but more minerals and erons. Regardless, the player must visit the NPC [Armor] Boboko in Central Flarine with each piece of equipment they wish to upgrade. In addition to the upgrade cost mentioned above, each equipment upgrade requires the use of different ingredients needed to upgrade.
