Cheap single convertible stroller pushchairs (site)

If you're on a tight budget and don't want a stroller that doubles as car seat carriers, the Babyzen Yoyo is a good option. It features a flip-flop-friendly one-step footbrake.

It's also a breeze to push and feels solid in navigating kerbs or woodland pathways. It's also easy to fold.

1. Babyzen YOYO2

The Babyzen YOYO2 has built a reputation as the most lightweight buggy single for city dwellers and jet-setters alike, due to its super nimble manoeuvrability and fold-down that fits into the overhead luggage of an aeroplane. The latest version comes with independent suspension on all four wheels made of Hytrel elastomer to 'perfectly navigate through all kinds of surfaces and terrain'.

The curved fabric bassinet, base YOYO2 frame and 6months of colour pack are combined to create a chic pushchair that has a soft elegant design. The base frame alone weighs just under a kilo and is so light you can lift it directly from the box (and do it with one hand).

The hood, for example is able to snap onto the YOYO2 in a calm way. It is also machine washable up to 30 degrees which helps avoid staining caused by smushed and mashed rice cakes and carrot puffs. It can be used as a pram from birth using the Newborn Pack or bassinet, or converted to stroller at 6 months by clicking on the YOYO Connect additional chassis.

2. Evenflo Pivot Xplore

Evenflo Pivot Xplore stroller wagon is a great option for parents looking for a stroller that is versatile. The Evenflo Xplore can be transformed from a stroller to a wagon by simply flipping the handle. Parents can then decide which mode is best for their journey. The wagon can accommodate two or more children between 6 months to five years old. It comes with a large storage basket that can hold all your necessities on the go.

The Xplore also features dual canopies that rotate from front to back, providing ample sun protection for all family members. It has a smaller footprint than other wagons. This might not be suitable for long journeys or napping.

The frame on the Xplore feels solid and sturdy however it doesn't have the same flexibility as other wagons we tried. It is also more difficult to fold than many of the other models, and it does not close tightly when folded. It is easy to maneuver however, and can be able to fit through narrow 28-inch doors.

3. Delta Children LX Side by Side

This Delta Children bare-bones travel stroller is a great option for parents who are looking for a second stroller that's affordable. It scored a dazzling score in our Strollers and Multiples test for weight and folded size which means it's lightweight, small when collapsed and easy to put into a car trunk or closet. It also comes with a reclined seat that can be reclined in several positions as well as an integrated cup holder for the parent. Other features worth mentioning include two large hanging storage bags and 360-degree front wheels that are shock-absorbing.

In our test of the push and turn, it did better than many of the other cheap strollers we tried, but it's not the most maneuverable on uneven terrain or through narrow doors. The sunshades on it were among the smallest strollers we tested. They only cover the top and do not have peekaboo windows. The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 and Zoe Twin+ have larger canopy sizes.

The Delta took us just over three minutes to put together using an average manual and all of the components required tools. It's missing certain features we believe are essential in double strollers. This includes an extra-large basket, reclining seats, and adjustable leg rests.

4. Maxi-Cosi Zelia 2-in-1

The Zelia is Maxi-Cosi's latest pushchair, and is advertised as an urban travel system. It is designed to accommodate infants from birth until around 3.5 years old, easily changing between a seat and a carrycot by just a few clicks. It is compatible with Maxi Cosi capsule car seats. It comes with a lightweight Mico 30 infant seat, a car-base that stays in the car and a reversible car seat.

It's really easy to maneuver, and the one-hand reclining of the seat and the super large shopping basket make it simple for parent-tots to get the child in and out quickly. Despite this being quite narrow, the pushchair handled the everyday bumps well and was able to pass through doorways without a hitch.

The front wheels can be locked into forward positions or allow them to swivel which helps when covering rough terrain. We let the front wheels to swivel during our walk on an uneven path. It was able to handle this well, though it did seem slightly bumpier.

5. Baby Jogger City Tour 2

Baby Jogger is most well-known for its 3-wheeled all-terrain jogging strollers. However, they also make a broad selection of pushchairs with four wheels. The City Tour 2 is one of their most sought-after models. It folds easily and fits easily into the boot of a car even with an attached carrycot.

It's heavier than other strollers we've test, but since it comes with rubber composite wheels it feels sturdy and well-constructed. It is easy to maneuver over various terrains and even with two children, a shopping bag and other things.

Both the seat and carrycot have hoods that can be lowered to reveal UV50+ sun canopy extensions. They are showerproof and sturdy, unlike some other prams' hoods which get whipped back into toddlers' faces.

It doesn't have a lot of storage space, but it does come with a huge basket that's big enough to hold a changing bag as well as plenty of groceries. You can also connect it with the Baby Jogger infant car seat to create a traveling system for babies up to 20 pounds (car seat and adapters are sold separately). If you are looking for a stroller that can be used on the road, the City Tour 2 is an excellent choice.

6. Nuna Mixx Next

When the Nuna Mixx first appeared on the scene, it stole the hearts of parents all over the world. It's a stroller made of aluminum that can see you through your baby's early days and beyond. It's got a few distinctive features like the ability to flip the seat from parent to world-facing, a huge UPF 50+ canopy that has an eye-shade that flips out as well as a large basket and adjustable handlebar.

The chassis is equipped with an integrated suspension system that reduces the impact of bumpy terrain. The wheels are constructed of tough foam and reduce punctures. It was easy to push, and our tester was able to maneuver the vehicle through the narrow streets.

It folds automatically and locks in just four steps. It is also able to stand and be trolleyed for easier transport in the trunk of your car or down the stairs at home. This budget single stroller sale pushchair is surprisingly easy to handle and features excellent dual suspension, a one-hand fold and a practical carry strap. It's also very light and sturdy. The seat can be reclined into many positions and is equipped with a double breathable mattress that's suitable from birth.

The canopy/seat comes with two big sun visors that are either fixed or flipped out. Both are UPF50+. The toggle closure isn't ideal as it’s not as quiet as Velcro, and can awaken napping babies.

The Duet is an angled stroller that can be used by twins or siblings. (Up to 22kg per seat). It is compatible with two infant car seats and some carrycots. In twin-mode, the seats can be positioned to face each other or rotate around to face parents, theoretically cutting down on sibling disputes over who gets to sit with mom and dad. It comes with a large gear tray, a bottle holder and snack tray. It also has an automated frame lock as well as a compact fold.

8. Baby Jogger Urban Glide 2.

The Thule Urban Glide 2 is a jogger that's ideal for parents who love to be active. It's one of the lightest strollers that you can buy for your child. It also comes with excellent safety features, including the 5-point safety harness and wrist safety straps. It also comes with an innovative twist hand brake that's different from the lever type found on competing models.

The seat is comfortable and has plenty of room to sit in, however the depth of the seat is lower than other joggers we've tried (it's about 10"). The storage bin is equipped with an enclosed zipper to help keep items safe. It can hold up to 10lbs, which is enough for most diaper bags.

The Urban Glide 2 isn't compatible with infant car seats or bassinets in the way it is, however you can use it from day one with the purchase of adapters for the majority of seats made by brands such as BOB, Graco, Combi, Evenflo, Britax, and UPPAbaby. It's easy to fold and assemble in 5-10 minutes without any tools. The instruction manual is easy to comprehend and contains multiple languages.
