Hades 2 - Sign Up For a Playtest

The sequel to Supergiant Games 2020 roguelike Hades will be released in 2019. It's an ambitious move that raises the stakes while offering a deeper look into familial politics.

Melinoe is back in the hunt to kill Chronos the titan of time. Along the way, she will encounter new gods such as the personifications of light Apollo and witchcraft goddess Hecate as well as the deity of revenge Nemesis.

1. Hades 2 Technical test

3. Hades 2 Beta

It was no surprise that the game was so popular with the public, due to its rich and compelling narrative that is rooted in Greek mythology, tales of family struggles and LGBTQ+ representation which feels natural and inclusive. So when Supergiant Games announced that a sequel was in the works, it was no surprise that the fans were thrilled.

Now, seven years after the original release, Hades 2 is finally entering early access. And while it doesn't change significantly mechanically, the passion and dedication that Supergiant put into Hades 2 is clear from the beginning.

According to the Steam page for Hades 2, the game "brings back all the elements that made the first one so special such as the isometric view clearing rooms, selecting boons, unleashing powerful attacks, the central world, with a variety of fully voiced characters to interact with and learn from, the ever-changing Underworld and more."

In addition to these reintroduced features, oscarreys the test adds some new ones as well. You can unlock permanent upgrades for Melinoe and a new weapon. You can also control the witchy companions, unravel mysteries at the Arcana Altar and gather reagents to increase your skills.

The most striking new feature to the game is Omega attacks. These are new ways to boost your weaponry and spells. These attacks will increase the power of your magick meter, allowing you to unleash devastating attacks that cover a a large area of effect. It's a great way to add even more variety to the moment-to-moment action of combat.

The beta for Hades 2 is available on both Steam and the Epic Games Store. The official release date for the full version of the game is still undetermined however, Supergiant has promised to keep fans updated as they are working towards a 1.0 release in 2024. 4. Hades 2 Release Date
