The Combo i5/i5+ could be used with any Alexa, Siri, or Google Assistant-enabled device1. It lets you start and stop cleaning sessions with just your voice. It can also detect the unique layout of your home and create a Smart Map for a more efficient cleaning. The app allows you to create "Keep Out Zones" which stop robots from buzzing around specific areas, like the pile of cables or pet waste.

The Roomba's advanced navigation technology incorporates iRobot's top of the line Precision Vision navigation with a camera that can identify common objects and obstacles. The cameras enable it to avoid common obstacles, like cords and shoes, socks, bags pets toys and backpacks. It can then deploy custom-designed cleaning around these objects. The Combo i5/i5+ features the patented Dirt Detect Technology which helps it focus more focus on areas that are dirty.

One of the most impressive features of this robot is its auto-emptying Clean Base that can hold up to 60 days worth of waste and reduce the need for manual maintenance. It also has a recharge and resume ability that sends the robot back to its base to charge its battery when it is depleted, and can pick up where it left off without skipping a beat.

While the i5+ is a fantastic robot for homes with a lot of space, it's important to note that it's not designed for rooms with carpets or stairs. It has a limited capacity dustbin, so it won't sweep your entire home if there is lots of pets or other debris. If you're looking for a Roomba capable of handling more challenging environments, consider the i7 or i9 models. These models are better equipped to tackle stairs, and can also be used for wet mopping. With its cutting-edge technology and innovative design the best irobot Combo i5/i5+ is an excellent choice for homes that need both mopping and a vacuum.

iRobot Roomba Combo i7

This model is a premium version that comes with premium features and class-leading performance that could entice buyers away from the vast majority of cheaper competitors. The most notable upgrade is the automatic dirt disposal, which eliminates the need for a dustbin after every clean. Another feature is persistent mapping that allows the i7+ to keep track of your home's layout and adjust to different floor plans on a dime.

The Combo i7+ is easy to set up, and comes with an easy-to-follow app walkthrough and clear instructions on screen that help you through the initial registration and setup procedure. Once the robot has been registered and able to be controlled to vacuum or mop using the irobot roomba robot vacuum HOME app, or Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant voice commands. The i7+ can be easily programmed, allowing you scheduling cleaning sessions and define virtual boundaries.

In our tests, the i7+ performed very well, clambering over floor cracks and rugs easily. It was also able identify obstacles like furniture without difficulty, though it wasn't able to get over a slab of marble measuring two inches that separated the kitchen and living rooms. Its edge cleaning is also better than what we saw with budget robot vacuums. It has a great grip on corners.

Once the i7+ reached its maximum capacity, it returns to its Clean Base and empties its contents. It then gets ready for the next clean. When it's time to add cleaning fluid, just hit a button on the side of the robot and a small combo water tank/dustbin clips open.

The only issue is that the Clean Base occupies a lot of space. This makes it difficult to put the i7+ into an area where it's not being used. However, this is a common issue with robot cleaners, and most manufacturers offer smaller charging stations that are smaller. They also fit under cabinets which makes it easier to hide the iRobot when it is not in use. iRobot has reached out to us following publication to clarify that the Combo i7+ is designed to be used only with the manufacturer-approved cleaning solution (sold separately). It is not recommended to fill it with water, as it could damage the internal components and reduce performance.

The robot vacuums and mops at the same time. It uses its stainless steel arm with dual arms to pick up dirt as it moves. It lowers its mop when it spots carpets in order to avoid getting the carpets wet. This is a wonderful feature. This feature, which is called Dry Rug Intelligence by iRobot was a great success during my tests and was a major improvement over older Roomba models that could only vacuum or mops without changing modes.

The iRobot app lets you create an agenda for cleaning and access history and status updates. The app also provides "robot health" information, like how long you can anticipate your iRobot's lifespan before it requires an upgrade to its filter or new mopping pad. The app also provides detailed instructions, troubleshooting advice and advanced settings to adjust the mopping water, number of mopping passes per flooring and much more.

IRobot's new navigation system lets the i8 to map its way through your home, and it can maneuver around obstructions such as power cords with ease. The navigation system is also able to adjust its cleaning route based on different floors. If you live in a big home, the i8 could require several runs before it's finished mapping.

This robot also operates with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. You can control it using your voice. This is an excellent feature for busy people. This feature is extremely beneficial for those who have to clean their homes often and efficiently.

The iRobot i8 is able to connect to smart home devices and also work with the iBraava Jet M6, a mop that can be programmed to automatically start sweeping after the i8 completes vacuuming. The i8 comes with a Clean Base Automatic Dirt Disposal system and an additional HEPA filter.

This is iRobot's latest flagship model, and it's the most powerful robot vacuum to date. It has a larger internal dustbin and can move more easily over carpets.
